Welcome to crewsync. Your privacy and the security of your professional data are paramount to us. This Privacy Policy explains how crewsync (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and services.
1. Information We Collect
To provide a seamless event production experience, we collect the following types of information:
Account Information: Name, email address, professional title (e.g., Audio Engineer, Producer), and profile photo.
Event & Job Data: Details regarding the events you are assigned to, including schedules, call times, and job acceptance/decline history.
User Content: Documents you upload (Floor Plans, ROS, Agendas), chat messages sent within crew channels, and technical data like RF frequency logs.
Location Data: With your permission, we may collect precise location data to facilitate "On-Site Check-ins" for shifts and to provide directions to event venues.
Device Information: IP address, device type, and operating system version to ensure app stability and security.
PLEASE NOTE - The above information is ONLY stored for the duration of the event. Once an event concludes, the information, chats, data, photos, videos, and any other show specific information is deleted. We DO NOT SHARE ANY INFORMATION WITH 3RD PARTY VENDORS.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to power the core functions of the production environment:
Coordination: To display your availability and contact info to other authorized members of your production crew.
Communication: To deliver push notifications for schedule changes, "Broadcast" alerts, and direct messages.
Technical Management: To sync RF frequencies and document updates across the entire team in real-time.
Compliance: To maintain logs for shift check-ins and safety requirements on-site.
Upon Conclusion: All Information is wiped. No storage of any kind outside of your profile details and upcoming jobs.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your information is shared only in the following contexts:
With Your Crew: Your name, role, and "Active Job" status are visible to the event organizers and team members you are specifically contracted with.
Service Providers: We may use third-party cloud hosting (e.g., Google Cloud) or notification services to operate the app.
Legal Necessity: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users on a high-stakes event site.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Given the sensitive nature of private corporate events, documents uploaded to the Docs section are restricted to verified event personnel only.
5. Your Choices & Controls
Location Services: You can opt-out of location sharing at any time through your device settings, though this may disable automatic shift check-ins.
Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and personal data through the Account tab in the app. This is located directly at the bottom of your profile page, underneath “Sign Out”.
Notifications: You can manage which production alerts you receive via the settings menu.
Photo Library, Camera, and Microphone Access: This is explicitly requested should you wish to share images, take pictures or share a video recording within an events chat feature. None of your media is stored beyond the event end date.
